North Devon & Exmoor Walking and Cycling Festival May
2004 marked the inclusion of cycling to the very successful walking festival. There is still the wonderful range of quality guided walks on offer, from the easy ramble of five miles to the more strenuous ten-mile walk over Exmoor. Also included is an area called Ruby Country, so called after the red ruby cattle that are characteristic of that part of Devon. Ruby Country is ideal for a really relaxing walking break with easy and peaceful walks in rolling countryside.
| Every outing has been carefully chosen to show off the local countryside to its best. During the festival the outings are further enhanced by marvellous shows of wild flowers, often taking your breath away with the wonderful array of colours. The festival is covering all Exmoor and North Devon down to the Cornish border. |

As usual, there is a choice of speciality outings. These include a walk with alpacas, close-up photography in great surroundings, another popular map-reading course with a linked treasure hunt to try your new skills. Then there's the flora and fauna walks in the Biosphere, challenging mountain bike rides, the Cycling Circus and of course, the ever popular Lundy Island .
